The company
Our client is a leading global provider of integrated transportation, storage and distribution solutions for chemicals and other bulk-liquid products, delivered through its three largest operations units: tankers, terminals, and tank containers.
The situation
The company was looking for a firm to provide a six month Career Transition Programme to one of their senior employees. Gemini offers a free-of-charge discovery meeting to impacted employees, aimed at explaining Gemini’s career transition programs and performing a chemistry check between Gemini’s career coach and the impacted employee. The employee contacted us to set-up a discovery meeting, in which the employee and the career coach would explore the employee’s needs during the career period.
The process
In the discovery meeting, the coach and employee spent time exploring the employee’s career goals and ambitions. The career coach also got to know about the employee’s professional background. Together they came up with an action plan for the coming six months, aimed at the employee finding a new position. Gemini’s career transition programs are aimed at supporting impacted employees with preparing for and managing their job search.
The outcome
After the discovery meeting, the client confirmed that the employee preferred Gemini to provide him with the career transition programme. The employee felt Gemini’s career coach was able to provide the guidance and assistance he was looking for to achieve his career aspirations, and he also mentioned the personal chemistry between himself and the consultant. Finally, Gemini’s presence across Asia and our global network, being part of Career Star Group, impacted his decision as well.
