China Special Business Invitation Visa for essential foreign personnel
After almost two months since the China government announced a temporary suspension of entry for foreignerswith visas into China, there are some signs that those restrictions will begin to be slowly lifted over the coming weeks. Recent reports that border controls may ease in early June has foreign businesspeople hope that they will be able to come back to China soon.
Over the past two months, Gemini’s Visa team has been working hard to collect the latest news and information for foreign personnel hoping to return to China soon, as well as providing expert advice from our dedicated team of Visa Consultants.
Lily Zhang, Gemini’s China Visa Manager recently attended a business event with Government officials in Shanghai where they shared some information regarding a ‘Special Business Invitation Letter’ which would enable essential business personnel to return to China in the near future.
The Government officials stressed that any applications received would be assessed on a case by case basis and ‘Invitation Letters’ will only be granted to those who are deemed to be business critical and who also meet the government’s strict criteria and testing requirements.
Whilst exact details have not been fully released at this time, Lily and her team are now able to speak with interested businesses to begin collecting their documents and supporting evidence to make the application to the government for the Special Invitation Letter.
