Passport free China travel for foreign residents of HK and Macau

香港和澳门的外国居民现在无需护照即可进入中国内地

Starting July 10, permanent residents in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region who are non-Chinese citizens (hereinafter referred to as non-Chinese Hong Kong and Macao permanent residents) and who wish to travel to the mainland of China for short-term purposes such as investment, visiting relatives, tourism, business, seminars and exchanges may apply for Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (Non-Chinese Citizens).

从7月10 日起，香港特别行政区、澳门特别行政区永久性居民中的非中国籍人员（以下简称非中国籍港澳永久居民），因投资、探亲、旅游、商务、研讨、交流等短期入境事由来往内地可以申请港澳居民来往内地通行证。

Holders of these documents will be allowed multiple entries into the mainland within a five-year validity period, with each stay not exceeding 90 days.

这些证件的持有人在五年有效期内可多次入境内地，每次逗留时间不得超过90天。

However, if non-Chinese holders intend to work, study, or engage in news reporting activities on the mainland, they should apply for visas or residence permits in accordance with the law.

但是，如果非中国人打算在大陆工作、学习或从事新闻报道活动，则应依法申请签证或居留许可。

In accordance with the Announcement of the Ministry of Public Security on Retaining Fingerprints and Other Biological information of Entry Foreigners in 2017, permit holders can go through immigration clearance through E-channels after completing fingerprint collection procedures at ports of entry. In addition, permit holders are not required to fill in the Arrival Card when entering the mainland of China with the Permit.

根据2017年公安部关于对入境外国人留存指纹等生物信息公告的有关规定，持证人在口岸履行指纹采集等手续后，可以经快捷通道通关。持通行证入境时无需填写外国人入境卡。

The administration said that it will continue to improve immigration management services to support the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote the integration of Hong Kong and Macao into the country's overall development.
